1st Kirkbymoorside Scouts is proud to offer a fully managed TRAILJAM 24.

Guaranteed badge coverage for Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts in both staged and activity at relevant skillset levels. Included in your booking price is the TRAILJAM 24 Blanket Badge and a completion certificate to take show badgework completed during the event.

Full custom waterproof OS mapping in A3 size including event information covering three bespoke hiking routes for Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts.

Medical cover and Rescue simulation provided by SRMRT.

Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue works in cooperation with the police and other emergency services to relieve suffering and distress amongst persons affected by accidents or natural hazards on the North York Moors, Dalby Forest, Yorkshire Wolds, or anywhere else we are needed.

As part of TRAILJAM 2024 they will be running an Incident simulation as one of the one route stations, they will also be deployed across all three routes through the event.

The Ryevitalise Landscape Partnership works together to energise local communities and volunteers, support farmers and welcome visitors from near and far to “conserve, enhance and restore the natural and cultural heritage of the area, enabling people to reconnect with the history, wildlife and landscapes of the River Rye and its tributaries.”

Where is TRAILJAM 24

The event will take place at the 1st Kirkbymoorside Scout Hut, 4 Manor Vale Lane, Kirkbymoorside, YO62 6EG

Who can attend

We have specifically organised the event for our Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts although we are more than happy to see any Explorers or Network members at the event. This is a family event and as such we ask that an adult accompanies the Young Person around the course.

Disclaimer

All Adults must sign a disclaimer prior to starting the trail, we have the right to reject persons attending with unsafe or insufficient kit. All attendees must have a minimum of Boot’s or Wellies (Sports Trainers are not allowed), a waterproof jacket, additional layer of clothing, water 1lt per group of two minimum, and a communication device.

Who needs to pay

You only pay for your Beaver, Cub. Scout, Explorer, or Network member. Family members are Free as are accompanying adults.

What am I paying for

You are paying for your Young Person to attend the TRAILJAM 24 event, this covers all of the planning and management of the event. Included in the cost is the following;

TRAILJAM 2024 badge1, Custom waterproof A3 Map with all relevant event details and directions2, Certificate of completion to be handed to your Section leader to be added to OSM3

Beavers 3.88km – 1h walking time with stops along the way / Cubs 6.8km – 1h 40m walking time with stops along the way / Scouts 8.65km – 2h 9m walking time with stops along the way.
